Colombo, Sri Lanka 3 April 08
Hi Bob,
Thanks so much for this beautiful and thoughtful message on your blog.
I have printed it out and passed it on to Dr. Kingsley's daughter Nathalie, earlier today (Thursday 3 April 2008) after the funeral. There was a small group of people, in line with his wishes, only family and friends were there. It was a short and simple ceremony to say farewell to him, with his favourite songs, before he was cremated.
Dr. Kingsley will be dearly missed by all.
Thanks again.
Piwi

I just received news of Kingsley's passing away. I had known him as a student and he was such a great friend. I wish I can get in touch with Supa. I last spoke to them earlier last year and we had been together in Bangkok in January. Yes, May his soul rest in peace and May God bless his two daughters whom he loved so much. I hope Supa will see this message from Rita and Mike
ReplyDeleteDear Rita and Mike
ReplyDeleteHe was a man of great intellect. talent and determination who I liked immensely. I also learned a lot from him. I first met him in 1975 and recall him showing me photos lof his two daughters who were very young and very pretty.
RIP Kingsley.
Bob
Dear Bob, would you or anyone who knows the whereabouts of Ms. Supaporn Khunakorn who was with Kingsley Seevaratnam. We have no means of contacting her. Not even Kingsleys' children know her whereabouts and it is very disturbing and strange as we were good friends. We hope that through this message, we will get some news. Would you know anyone in the Red Cross who could help? Rita & Mike
