What wonderful news last night for all of us who work for Red Cross to learn that Cristiano Ronaldo has donated US$ 100,000 to support the Red Cross's physical rehabilitation programme for land-mine victims in Afghanistan. My old colleague Alberto Cairo runs this heart-warming programme and I know every cent of this donation will be well used.
